The West Grey Public Library has programs and events to spark your summer.
Bugslinger 101: A Brief Intro to the Basics of Fly Fishing for fishers of all ages are welcome to this free workshop on Thursday, July 5 (7-8 pm). Jack Serre, who has run seminars at Outdoor Adventures and Durham Conservation Area, introduces participants to what you need for a successful fishing trip, the best river conditions, safety and the habits of the fish you’ll go after. Half-hour small classes on computer basics are available through the Ayton Branch, by appointment at 519.665.2342.
Ever read Jane Austen and wonder what the dancing – and the dancers - looked like? This free informal talk and dress-up display with Helena, good for all ages, should answer some of those questions. Pre-registration required at 519.369.2107.
On Friday, July 27th (10 am – 2 pm) and Saturday, July 28th (11 am – 2 pm), The Fabulous Festival of Fringe Film presents New Media Encounters: Virtual Reality from Indigenous Imaginings to Newcomer Realities in an interactive iPad experience. Impact virtually guaranteed!

West Grey Library CEO and Chief Librarian Kim Storz proudly holds the winning library voucher.
Kim Storz, CEO and Chief Librarian for West Grey Library was excited to learn about the victory. "Our customers really like to support Canadian books," said Storz as she accepted her prize, adding that the contest did a fabulous job of promoting these five Grey County Reads books as evidenced by their popularity, often with waiting lists filled for each of the titles.
West Grey Public Library gratefully acknowledges the support of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport for the purchase of computers, and IT services.
